Who I Am
Although I’m the youngest of 6 siblings, many acquaintances have mistaken me for being older due to my maturity, knowledge, demeanor, and caretaker traits.
Growing up, I excelled in the areas of math and logic. For my bachelor's degree, I chose accounting simply because it was the easiest ticket to independence/freedom from my traditional Asian household. I completed the degree in 3 years and graduated cum laude in my class. That was the start of my freedom and independence.
I have been a Tao cultivator for the past 10 years. In 2017, 3 years after the start of my Tao journey, I took a vegetarian vow. It’s a vow more sacred than a marriage vow since it is a commitment I made to Tao (God/Heaven). The path of Tao has given me a whole new life; a life previously full of fear has been transformed into a life full of compassion, awareness, fearlessness (mostly 😊), and gratitude. Thus, I aim to awaken the same Tao within as many people as possible, be it through a simple smile, a short spiritual conversation, a vegetarian meal, or accounting and finance support.
What I Do
I am professionally trained in accounting and finance. I have a CPA license and worked in the accounting and finance field for 28 years. I started at smaller companies (including local/regional CPA firms) and then with Fortune 500 companies (such as Capital Group Companies/American Funds Family and Bank of America), and more recently offering my services to companies (such as Higher Ground Education, a Montessori school operator, and Kumon) and small businesses working toward the betterment of society, like Tao practitioners.
My experience in accounting/finance and Tao practice allows me to provide one-of-a-kind accounting and finance services to help business owners/practitioners so they can focus more on their offerings, passion, and life’s purpose to the world.
