Welcome to heartcenter.la (the "Website"), operated by Heart Center LA ("Heart Center LA," "we," "us," or "our"). Heart Center LA is a healing and wellness brand based in Pasadena, California, founded by Dr. Winnie Chan Wang and Dr. Jay Dubois, PhD.

By accessing or using this Website, purchasing classes, registering for events, or engaging our services, you ("you" or "User") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use this Website or our services.

1. Services Overview

Heart Center LA offers the following services through its Website and in-person locations:

• Healing Classes — Structured healing sessions offered in four tiers: Refresh ($35), Reset ($84), Restore ($196), and Revitalize ($238/month).
• Conscious Connections — Live conscious speed dating events held at designated venues in Pasadena, California.
• Heart Center Connection Podcast — A free weekly podcast featuring listener-submitted questions explored through the ARC framework.
• Private Sessions — Individual somatic sessions, acupuncture, and deeper healing work led by Dr. Winnie Chan Wang.
• Institutional Facilitation — Customized healing facilitation, breathwork, trauma release, and wellness programming for organizations, hospitals, and corporate teams.
• Daily Sacred Breathwork — Group breathwork practice sessions.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Website, purchase classes, register for events, or engage our services. By using this Website, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

3. Account and Registration

Certain features of our Website may require you to create an account or provide personal information. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Class Bookings and Payments

4.1 Pricing

Healing class pricing is as follows at the time of these Terms:

Prices are subject to change. The price displayed at the time of booking will be honored for that transaction.

4.2 Payment

All payments are processed through our third-party payment processor (currently Stripe via GoHighLevel). By submitting payment, you agree to the payment processor's terms of service. All prices are listed in U.S. dollars (USD).

4.3 Cancellation and Refund Policy

• Class Cancellations by You: If you need to cancel a booked class, please notify us at least 24 hours before the scheduled session. Cancellations made with 24 or more hours' notice may be eligible for a credit toward a future session. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice are non-refundable.
• Revitalize (Monthly) Subscription: Monthly subscriptions may be canceled before the next billing cycle. No partial-month refunds will be issued. Contact us at [email protected] to cancel your subscription.
• Class Cancellations by Us: If Heart Center LA cancels a scheduled class or session, you will receive a full refund or credit for a future session at your choice.
• No-Shows: If you do not attend a booked session without prior notice, the session will be considered used and no refund or credit will be issued.

4.4 Rescheduling

You may reschedule a booked session with at least 24 hours' notice by contacting us at [email protected] or (213) 856-1293. Rescheduling is subject to availability.

5. Conscious Connections Events

5.1 Tickets and Admission

Tickets for Conscious Connections events are purchased through our Website or designated ticketing platform (e.g., Eventbrite or Lu.ma). Ticket prices range from $45–$65 and are subject to change.

5.2 Event Conduct

By attending a Conscious Connections event, you agree to:

• Treat all participants, facilitators, and venue staff with respect and dignity.
• Participate in the guided format as directed by the facilitator.
• Refrain from any conduct that is harassing, intimidating, discriminatory, or disruptive.
• Follow all venue rules and policies.

Heart Center LA reserves the right to remove any attendee from an event without refund if their behavior violates these standards.

5.3 Event Cancellation

If a Conscious Connections event is canceled by Heart Center LA, ticket holders will receive a full refund. We are not responsible for any travel, accommodation, or other incidental costs incurred due to event cancellation.

5.4 Photo and Video Release

By attending a Conscious Connections event or any Heart Center LA class, event, or session, you acknowledge that the event may be photographed and/or recorded for promotional purposes, including use on our Website, social media, podcast, and marketing materials. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please inform the facilitator at the start of the event. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request, but we cannot guarantee exclusion from all background footage.

6. Heart Center Connection Podcast

6.1 Letter Submissions

When you submit a letter or question to the Heart Center Connection podcast, you grant Heart Center LA a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, reproduce, edit, adapt, publish, and publicly perform your submission in connection with the podcast and related promotional content.

6.2 Anonymity

Submissions may be paraphrased, edited, or anonymized at our discretion to protect your privacy. By submitting a letter, you consent to its use on-air and understand that while we will make reasonable efforts to protect identifying details, complete anonymity cannot be guaranteed.

6.3 No Therapeutic Relationship

Content discussed on the Heart Center Connection podcast does not constitute therapy, medical advice, counseling, or a professional-client relationship. The podcast is educational and informational in nature. See Section 9 (Health and Wellness Disclaimer) for additional disclaimers.

7. Institutional Facilitation

7.1 Custom Engagements

Institutional facilitation services — including breathwork sessions, trauma release workshops, mental wellness programming, and team coherence training — are custom-priced per engagement. Pricing, scope, deliverables, and terms will be agreed upon in a separate written agreement or statement of work between Heart Center LA and the contracting organization.

7.2 These Terms Apply

These Terms apply to all institutional facilitation engagements unless expressly superseded by a separate written agreement.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Content

All content on this Website — including text, graphics, logos, images, audio, video, the ARC framework, the Three Harmonies philosophy, the Jaw-Gut-Pelvis method, class descriptions, podcast episodes, and all other materials — is the property of Heart Center LA or its licensors and is protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8.2 Trademarks

"Heart Center LA," "Conscious Connections," "Heart Center Connection," the ARC framework (Aware → Release → Choose & Commit), the Three Harmonies, and related logos, names, and slogans are trademarks or service marks of Heart Center LA. You may not use these marks without our prior written consent.

8.3 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use this Website for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content.
• Use our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.
• Remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices from our materials.
• Use data mining, robots, scraping, or similar data-gathering methods on our Website.

9. Health and Wellness Disclaimer

9.1 Not Medical Treatment

Heart Center LA provides wellness, healing, and educational services. Our classes, sessions, breathwork practices, and events are not substitutes for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have experienced at Heart Center LA.

9.2 Assumption of Risk

Participation in healing classes, breathwork sessions, somatic sessions, acupuncture, and events involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical discomfort, emotional responses, lightheadedness, or the surfacing of difficult emotions or memories. By participating, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume these risks.

9.3 Acupuncture Disclosure

Acupuncture services provided by Dr. Winnie Chan Wang are performed by a licensed acupuncturist in the State of California. Acupuncture is a regulated healthcare practice. Prior to receiving acupuncture, you may be asked to sign a separate informed consent form as required by California law.

9.4 Waiver of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release, waive, and hold harmless Heart Center LA, its founders (Dr. Winnie Chan Wang and Dr. Jay Dubois, PhD), employees, contractors, affiliates, and agents from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including attorney's fees) arising out of or related to your participation in any class, session, event, breathwork practice, or other service offered by Heart Center LA, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

10. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Website for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable local, state, national, or international law.
• Post, transmit, or distribute any content that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, invasive of privacy, or otherwise objectionable.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Website, other user accounts, or any systems or networks connected to the Website.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Website, servers, or networks connected to the Website.
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

12. Limitation of Liability

• Heart Center LA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Website or our services.
• Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the amount you paid to Heart Center LA in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
• Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Heart Center LA, its founders, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use of the Website or services; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any rights of another party; or (d) your conduct in connection with any class, event, or session.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

14.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

14.2 Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved within thirty (30) days, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Los Angeles County, California, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.

14.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.

15. Modifications to Terms

Heart Center LA reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted on this Website with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Website or services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

16. Termination

Heart Center LA may suspend or terminate your access to the Website or services at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Website will immediately cease. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any separate written agreements for specific services (e.g., institutional facilitation contracts, acupuncture informed consent), constitute the entire agreement between you and Heart Center LA regarding your use of the Website and services.
