Unconditional Universal Service
“There is one position only that completely reflects what I mean by ‘living divine relationships,’ and that is the position of a true servant. The meaning here is that your soul totally dedicates your life to serving other souls throughout the entire universe, all dimensions and all times. This is taking a vow that moves forward and backward in time. This vow will radiate throughout your entire family and all generations, past and future, and this will change their lives and their karma.
To be a true servant, you must be pure, cleansed of past karma, keeping only positive thoughts and kind words for others. You must focus solely upon how you can alleviate the suffering of others. You must focus upon others and not upon yourself. You must offer service to both the light and dark sides, to monsters, to demons, to hungry ghosts, to saints, to animals, to plants, to rocks, to stars, to the moon, to the sun, to your enemies, to your family, to your friends, to souls that have no form, to the sky, to all thoughts, to all light, and most of all, you must offer service to the Divine.
What is the nature of the service? This will change each lifetime and each year and each day. Service will be placed in front of you as an opportunity. It is up to you to see the opportunity and take action when it is there in front of you.
Inside there must be the proper attitude, always, whether an opportunity is present or you are quietly alone. This internal attitude is one of humility and deep quiet. Humility is the reflection of no ego and no attachment. Humility is the recognition of your place in the universe, both how small you are and how connected you are with the Oneness.
Quiet is the state of no thought, no stress, no complaints. It is a peaceful state. From this attitude of peace and quiet, you are more able to listen with your heart. Your heart is your Message Center, from which you both hear and speak with the Divine. To be a universal servant, you must always be in this state of quiet and peace to listen well and receive guidance.
How you can serve each day will change because that is a universal principle, the principle of change. You must be flexible as you serve. Be not attached to how you served yesterday. Always be open and listening to how to best serve now.
I am telling you how to live in divine relationship in your daily life. This is a basic teaching for you to apply wherever you are and however you live. It is an internal attitude you can cultivate.
Externally, your actions can take many forms as you think of the well-being of others. Be a universal servant with your children, your spouse, your parents, your friends. Be a universal servant to your work colleagues, your clients, your peers. Be a universal servant to the beggar on the street corner.”
